This image was created for an on-line art exhibition. I was interested to see how famous statues would appear if they were made of flesh and blood, as opposed to cold stone. The skin tones and textures were airbrushed and coloured. Hair and other features were borrowed from my library of images and carefully manipulated into place. Throughout the project, it was important to me to closely match the original details within the statue. The image was then warmed up a little to emphasize the human aspect to the subject. It required a total of 3 hours to produce this single image.
