The Eraser Tool

The Eraser tool allows you to eraser the parts of a layer it is applied to. If you use this tool on a background layer, then the background colour will be applied, instead of deletion. Photoshop Professional Tip: Instead of relying on this tool, it is advisable to use 'Layer Mask' to remove pixels within a layer.
