The Automation Command in Photoshop: (Contact Sheets)By John Sweeney - 16th of January 2007 Ever wondered what this command does, and, where to find it: The Automate Command is found under File, then Automate. There are several commands there, each allowing the user to make selections. The selection I want to deal with is the Contact Sheet command. This does exactly what it says, it make a page or a number of pages of thumbnail pictures from a single directory. You can select how man thumb nails you want on a page, how many rows and how many columns, even the size of the paper you want to print them out on. This is a very useful tool if you want to print a set of pictures to show someone. Each page is saved individually and can be printed or sent to someone else over the internet for their information, you can also use it for yourself as a record of what pictures you have and where you store them. A very useful little tool. Give it a try, most of it is self explanatory.
