Adobe Photoshop articles: Adding one area to another using Elliptical/Rectangular tool |
Adding one area to another using Elliptical/Rectangular toolBy John Sweeney - 16th of January 2007 Did you know that you can add one Elliptical or Rectangular selection to another to make a daisy chain effect. So, if, for example, you want to choose across a range of say heads in a group picture you can do that: All you have to do is select one of the tools, then make sure that the add to box is selected in the contextual bar, you can find this box just below the menu bar words Edit and Image. Draw out your selected shape and then draw a second shape and make sure that the second shape overlaps the first, that way you can go over a very complicated arrangement in a picture and select the areas or items that you either want of need.
